After Thomas Weaver, early 1800s, unsigned oil on canvas portrait of a short-horned 7 year old heifer. Appears to have an old relining, possibly around 1900. Image size is 46 by 61.5 cms. Craquelure is present in some areas but the paint is stable. Indistinct inscription (in red) on the timber hay rail, “COLLING” for Robert Colling of Barmton, (d 1820), owner and breeder. In a 19th. cent maple frame with some losses to the veneer.
