Grand Tour Bronze Obelisk
A fine bronze version of the Luxor Obelisk, relocated to Paris by Napoleon. Originally holding a thermometer. Three sides are ecorated with hieroglyphics and inscribed in French with a dedication to King Louis Philippe. Richly patinated and in excellent condition overall. Height is 28.5 cms.
