A fine bronze bust of the French poet and intellectual, Jean de la Fontaine, author of the late 17th. French classic, “Fables”. On a marble socle and in excellent condition overall. Stamped Barbedienne and also with the “Collas Reduction” lozenge. Height is 25 cms. Circa1850.
